Amount of sleep your body needed is solely depend on the fact that what kind of life style you follow. If you work hard for your life mentally and physically you required at least 8 hour of sleep per night. If you lead a more sedentary lifestyle, sleep of 3-4 hour is more then sufficient.

You need consistency.
There are certain things you can do like going bed early daily irrespective of you are feeling sleepy or not.
Waking up early in the morning.
Having some strenous exercise during day.
Avoid using mobile 1 hour before sleep time.
