Unfortunately, there's currently no cure for degenerative disc disease, and once you're diagnosed with DDD, it's typically a lifelong journey of learning to live with back pain, neck pain, or other symptoms. Once your discs begin to degenerate, you can't really reverse the process.

Lifting heavy weights or running marathons might not be a good idea if you have significant disc degeneration or many ddd symptoms. Instead, your goal should be regular, moderate exercise, which will help strengthen your muscles, bones, and joints.

Most (80-90%) cases involving bulging or herniated discs will heal within 2-4 months. This of course depends on the severity of the injury, as well as the age and overall health of the patient. This is why exercises and activities to strengthen the supporting muscles are so essential.

its simple, taking traction for a week and ift+us therapy for 10 days will reduce disc bulge.

Maintaining proper posture is more important to avoid spinal issues, dont bend and loft anything from floor, avoid sitting or lying on floor, hot pack twice a day will be helpfull.

Hi kamal
Even though you say minimal disc problem as it has been a more than five months without any relief with conservative modalities, Situation is difficult to decide which way is the best.

Option one is still you can have repeat nerve root block to decrease your pain in the leg.

Option 2- A few occasions, some people need a surgery even though it’s not a significant disc but mainly because of persistent pain issues.

No need to take the drugs for 6 weeks. You can reduce to 1 pill and once a day of pain is subsided or mild.
