Symptoms Of Infertility

There may be some women who might be experiencing light menstrual flow while other might experience painful cramps and heavy periods. The women who are experiencing heavy, long and painful periods might be suffering from the condition of endometriosis. It is a condition within which tissues that are usually found within the womb are present in some other part of the body. It is one of the most common reason for infertility in women.
Dark or Pale Mensural Blodd
It may be a cause of concern if the menstrual blood is paler than the regular one. Usually the menstrual blood is bright red in color when the period starts in a woman. It gets darker in the coming days. If a woman is passing blood that is old and dark in color at the starting of the period then it could indicate endometriosis. If any other symptoms are being experienced by a woman then it must be reported to the doctor immediately.
Irregular Mensural Cycle
The time duration of the menstrual cycle may different for different individuals. However, majority of the people experience a menstrual cycle that is regular which means that their period occurs at the same time every month. If an individual is having irregular menstrual cycle then it also includes missing the periods. This adds to the infertility since the woman might not be ovulating regularly. In a woman irregular ovulation can be due to a lot of causes like obesity, underweight, thyroid issues, and polycystic ovarian syndrome.
Hormone Changes
There can be so specific sign of hormonal changes. It may be noticed by an individual and neither the cause of these changes can be known. When there is a fluctuation in the hormonal levels the following changes can be observed
- Cold feet and hands
- Thinning of hair on the top of the head
- Facial hairs will appear in the females
- Severe acne
- There will be unexplained weight gain
- Nipple discharge
- Loss of sexual desire or reduced sex drive.
Underlying Medical Conditions
One of the major contributing factor that may have an impact on the fertility of a woman is inclusive of the following medical conditions
- If a woman is has cancer and is undergoing cancer treatment.
- If a woman is suffering from endometriosis
- If the woman has premature menopause.
- If there is any damage to the ovaries or fallopian tubes.
- If a woman is suffering from polycystic ovarian syndrome.
Obesilty
Woman who have weight issues find it more difficult to get pregnant in comparison to woman without weight issues. Women who suffer from the problem of obesity have a lower probability of conceiving and also there are a lot risks involved during pregnancy. According to a study in the year 2018 obesity has a negative impact on the reproductive health of woman.
Not Getting Pregnent
After trying for a certain amount of time if a woman is not getting pregnant then it is one of the primary signs of infertility. If after trying for 1 year the woman is not able to get pregnant then a doctor may diagnose infertility in a woman. If the age of the woman has crossed 35 years and she is not able to conceive after trying for 6 months then she might be infertile.
Hormonal Imbalances (Men)
Men’s fertility can also be affected by a variety of hormonal imbalances. In men’s fertility testosterone is one of the key hormones. It is the problem with the testes which produce this hormone. It may lead to infertility in men. Testes get signal to make sperm and testosterone by two hormones follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone. These hormones are produced by the pituitary gland. Thus any issue this gland leads to infertility in men.
Erectile Dysfunction (Men)
Men might face difficulty in maintaining an erection due to the hormonal changes, physical issues, and psychological factors. If this problem of erection becomes a regular issue then it might due any underlying cause and might interfere with the sexual intercourse.
Problems with ejaculation or ejaculate
In men of the most common cause of infertility can be due to problems with ejaculation. These problems may be inclusive of drop in the volume of semen, or due to some medical issue. It must be brought to the notice of the doctor immediately if the problem of ejaculation is persisting.
Changes in testicles
Fertility of men is governed by the health of the testicles. The health of the testicles plays an important role in the making a man fertile. If a person has testicles that are tight and are smaller in size then it might be a symptom of some hormonal issue. If a person has testicles that are swollen, tender and painful then it may indicate towards any underlying medical issue like an infection. This impacts the not only the quality of the sperms but also the fertility in males.
