Symptoms Of Liver Failure

Another symptom that indicates towards liver failure is that of loss of appetite. People who not have any liver disease get hungry like normal people. Their diet is an indication of everything being well with their liver. However, the picture is different in comparison to people who have liver disease. A person who is suffering from liver disease might not feel hungry all the time. The diet of the person also reduces considerably. If a person is not feeling hungry for more than two weeks then he/she must consult the doctor.
Fatigue
It is normal to feel tired after going through a daily work routine. However, if a person is feeling tired even after resting then this condition is referred to as fatigue. Feeling fatigue is one of the commonest symptoms of liver failure. If a person is feeling tired without any reason and this condition is worsening then it must be reported to the doctor as it might be indicating towards liver failure.
Diarrhea
If any anyone is suffering from diarrhea it is believed that it is due to some infection of the stomach. Usually diarrhea goes away after the doctor gives medicines. In some severe cases of diarrhea antibiotics are also prescribed. If diarrhea does keeps on recurring and it does not get easily treated with the medications prescribed by the doctor then it can be due to some serious medical issue. People suffering from liver failure often complain about persistent diarrhea. Thus, if a person is suffering from diarrhea and he/she is not getting relief from the medications then a doctor must be consulted immediately to diagnose the medical condition. Persistent diarrhea is one of the commonest symptom of liver failure.
Jaundice
Jaundice is one of the most common symptom of liver failure. In jaundice the whiteness of the eyes turns to yellow. The skin of the person will also turn to yellow. Sometimes it can look very scary. This condition occurs when bilirubin level of the body becomes very high. Bilirubin is excreted by the liver and is a yellow color pigment. Jaundice can occurs due to various other diseases of liver. If a person is experiencing persistent jaundice then he should consult the doctor immediately to check for the underlying cause.
Bleeding easily
As the starts to get old his/her skin starts to get thinner. This is one of the reasons why a person starts getting bruised easily. A person can also start bleeding easily. If a person is experiencing any condition like this then he/she must consult the doctor immediate to know about the underlying cause. In some of the people marks will start appearing on the body even though a person is young. This might indicate towards some damage in the liver.
Swollen abdomen
If a person is feeling bloated with eating a heavy meal then this might indicate towards building up of fluid in the abdomen. This condition is known as ascites. If any person is experiencing a condition where is swelling in the abdomen then it is possibly indicating towards liver failure. A doctor must be consulted immediately to check for the symptom and diagnose the possible cause of the swelling in abdomen.
Mental disorientation or confusion (known as hepatic encephalopathy)
N everyone has dealt with concentration issues at some point in their life. There are a few instances where our brain does not want to work. If a person is experiencing trouble in concentrating regularly then it may be a sign that the liver is not working properly and it might be failing. Due to bad luck the hepatic encephalopathy caused by the failure of the liver can mess with your head and your ability to understand. This results in a person feeling confused.
Sleepiness
If a person is feeling sleepy then even after completing his/her sleep of the entire night then he/she might be lazy but that is not the case. A person who is suffering from the condition of liver disease might experience sleepiness. If a person is experiencing this symptom then it is an indication that a person needs to consult the doctor immediately.
Coma
Generally hepatic encephalopathy occurs in people who are suffering from the condition of chronic liver disease. Some of the triggers which can lead to this condition are inclusive of dehydration and infection. Some of symptoms are inclusive of confusion, bad breath, etc. Some of the advanced symptoms of hepatic encephalopathy are inclusive of slurred speech, disorientation, and shaking of hands
