PCR test can be done from the tissue involved or igG and igM antibodies can be done through blood test for confirmation of nipah virus.

For fever take one tablet paracetamol 650 mg and can repeat it after eight hours as and when needed and For dry cough I will suggest you to take syp Ascoril-D 2.5 ml and can repeat after a gap of six hours as and when required and Get his blood checked for CBC and follow up with reports.

If CD4 count is with in normal limits than the person is asymptomatic and if the level is low than there can be lymphadenopathy and secondary infections which have their own symptoms
