Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. However, few important things are not given like: 1)current tsh, t3 & t4 levels. 2) lh, fsh & testosterone levels (if not checked, please get them done). 3) lipid profile & 4) an ultrasound examination of ovaries. These will help in identifying if there is pcod or not.
In hypothyroidism some times prolactin levels do go up. But if the levels are too high, then need to be treated with a specific drug for that.\further in pcod...more

Hello, Thanks for the query.
Madam, I am surprised to see such a high TSH level in pregnancy. I am sure concerned doctor must have talked about what level of TSH has to be maintained during the 9 months of pregnancy. Madam the levels during pregnancy should be :
1st trimester 0.2 to 2.5 mU/L, 2nd Trimester 0.3 to 3 mU/L & 3rd trimester 0.3 to 3.0 mU/L
Higher levels are not good for the development of fetus and for optimal result of the pregnancy. In fact right from beginning conce...more

Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. When one is on adequate dosage of levothyroxine, tsh is usually maintained around 3 to 4 mu/l at which level most of the symptoms of hypothyroidism are in check. Since your tsh was high, dosage was increased. Now as the tsh has come down to lower limit of normal, it is necessary to reduce levothyroxine by 12.5 mcg. So you will have to shift to 87.6 (88 mcg) per day. Then after 6 weeks please do the test again to see if tsh has r...more

Hello, thanks for the query.
Madam I have seen the query. The tsh value is with in normal limits. Which means the current dosage of levothyroxine (25 mcg) is correct and has to be continued. If you reduce the dosage then tsh value will go up and t4 is likely to down. Another important aspect is that with a bmi (body mass index) is 34.4 kg/sq meter (normal < 23 kg/sq meter), which means you have an excess of almost 26 kg. That needs to be taken care of. Reducing the dosage may increase the we...more

Hi dear friend.
I noted down your history. Here are the few points I would like to add from my side.
1) your pulse rate was/is high because your hb was/is low. 2) now as it is better than before but still you should take some supplements for vitamin b12 as well. 3) consume diet rich in iron like spinach, beetroot, dryfruits, eggs etc.
4) if all the above is corrected and still pulse is high then need to see for other issues like anxiety.
Thanks and regards.

Hello, thanks for the query.
Madam, I have seen the details. However, you have mentioned only tsh value, nothing about t3 & t4. It is necessary to know those values also. Tsh 4.6 mu/l is not really high. It must be with in the normal range mentioned in your lab report. In uncontrolled hypothyroidism tsh invariably goes uch higher and t4 values also may be low. Please come back with all the values also mention your weight & height. Thanks.
