Always do the test in the same reliable lab. Well controlled hypothyroidism should have a value of 2.5 miu/l.the fasting levels willalways be higher. What I suggest is 50 mcg of thyronorm daily and take a fasting sample always. Donot stop thyronorm optimum dose during pregnancy. You will have normothyroid cute baby.

Hi. 4.4 is high during pregnancy. Cut off is <4 in pregnancy. U should start taking thyronorm as advised by your doctors. There are not much side effects with such a low dose of tablet thyronorm and it is safe to use for you and your baby. Every 1 -2 months you should test your tsh till delivery and based on your test the dose will be adjusted. We stop the tablet after delivery and 6 weeks later repeat tsh. If itâs normal no need to take any tablet further.

Hi. Congrats that shes pregnant again. Thyroid will not cause abortions don't worry. Tell me how many months pregnant she is at present? Last period date? And last thyroid test report? She should respect the thyroid test if it is done one month back and based on the new report we will decide if we need to increase the dose or continue the same 50 mcg. Thank you.
