First we have to determine the cause for your tinnitus. It may be pathological or simply physiological. If we cannot find the cause for your tinnitus then we have to make you habituated to it l, so that you will feel no distress or anxious about it. Remember tinnitus is one in thousands of small minute sound produce in various parts of our body with magnified due to its close proximity to auditory system. Oftentimes, patients who have a hard time overcoming their tinnitus might have their hearing affected by just one little detail. If tinnitus is especially noticeable in quiet settings, try using a white noise machine to mask the noise from tinnitus. If you don't have a white noise machine, a fan, soft music or low-volume radio static also may help. Limit alcohol, caffeine and nicotine.
