Hello. From just size of liver you cannot comment. You need to assess it with liver function test. If you quit, liver enzymes which if raised can be reversed to normal but it takes time which also depends on what liver changes you have. I would suggest seeking professional help to help you go through detoxification and help you remain sober.

Hello, no disulfiram is a salt by different names can control alcoholism. Esperal, diazone. You have to be bold for that. As it produces vomit so the person slowly stop alcohol, he thaught my liver is damaged. I have to say yes liver is not well.

Vomiting blood is a ominous sign in alcohol xep9. It is called hematemesis and is a sign if underlying liver failure. Your friend due to continued drinking most likely has developed liver failure due to alcohol, which also explains being pale and emaciated seen in long term alcohol consumption compensating liver functions.
