Burping after feeds and feeding on demand immediately so as to prevent aerophagia I e air being taken by crying for long periods before actual feeds are given. Is a more natural way. Also daily motion and adequate urine output ensures adequate intake as well. Please ask for drugs after a pediatrician has examined your baby. Hope it helps.

Our kidneys act as filters which constantly flushes out toxins and excess minerals with water in form of urine. Urine contains lots of minerals which may precipitate and form stones. Urine has lots of pro-precipitating agents and anti-precipitating agents. When their balance disturbs due to some disease, stones start forming. These stones may often lead to abdominal pain which is referred to as renal colic.

When you have a newborn bundle of joy, no parent would be ready for constant crying bouts from the infant. However, for various reasons, even healthy, well-fed infants can be colicky.

What is it: Although a mystery, a baby is said to be colicky if it cries for more than 3 hours a day for more than 3 days a week for more than 3 weeks at a stretch. The baby is completely healthy, and the symptoms start about 2 to 3 weeks of life in both breastfed and bottle-fed babies. The baby usually ha...more
