Hi Sir, I am 22 years old and I am suffering from fistula since 7 years. How can I cure the problem?
Fistula can not be treated by oral medicines only so usually, surgery is advised in anal fistula patients. In fistula in ano; a nodular swelling appears in area surrounding anal opening. Off and on pus discharge is seen from this swelling. This problem can not be cure by oral medicines or some ointments. You have problem of recurrent anal fistula. Placing seton in fistulous tract helps in drainage of pus discharge so that abscess formation should not occur. However it does not heal the fistula. This could be reactionary inflammatory swelling. Please take sitz bath twice daily for 5 days. If it reduces then its fine. If it persists then you should visit an ano rectal specialist. For further support you may call reception at sushruta ano rectal institute.
