Montek lc / levocetrizine/ cetrzine any one at night when required. Safe medicine. U can add homeopathy medicine with this. Very safe no side effects but slow.

Most of the time aphthous ulcers are due to infection, decreased immunity, or to local alergy/irritation. As patient is 74 years old, definitely steroids are not an option it will reduce immunity.
Patient can be treated with antibiotics and nsaids and multivitamins (b complex)
