You need to consult the physician for the medicines. For the toileting you can use commodes which will help you to have more comfort while sitting and going for toilet.

Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. Stiffness might have developed due to weakness of the ligaments &inflammed cartilage. Specific knee exercises will also help ie. Keeping ball underneath the knee and keep pressing it. That's the simple exercise which will help you to strengthen the knee.

Rib pain might be due to gastric pain you can drink hot water which will help you to get rid out of the gas formed in the stomach. It might be due to any mild injury to the ribs too for which you need to keep ice packs probably twice a day with 8 hours gap which will help you to get relieved with pain.

Since all the other investigations seem to be normal and pain in the spine seem to be triggered by cold, most likely it might be due to a evoked neuropathic pain wheren neuropathic pain is triggered by cold, mild pressure applied on the area. Osteoporosis, b 12 defeciency are some of the other causes. Please take a consult for further evaluation ,and treatment.
