Asked for male, 26 years old from Thrissur

Sir I am 26, male. I have developed epidydimoorchitis 2 years back and is cured. Recently I got intense pain after masturbation and consulted doctor. Scan shows bilateral hydrocele. My urologist put me on antibiotics viz levoflox, chymoral plus and flotral. He is suggesting to masturbate on alternate days to get rid of infection. I am confused as sometimes erection for long is causing the pain. So is it advisable to do masturbation when on antibiotics?(now I am on week 4 of antibiotics but pain is no longer there).

Dear patient,
firstly, masturbation is not a contraindication with antibiotics therapy.
Secondly, antibiotics therapy is not required so long (4 weeks of antibiotics is not at all advisable).
Thirdly, use (wear) tight underwear all the time so as to have no pain in testis in future.

donot worry but try to control frequency of masturbation. We allow weekly or biweekly masturbation only.

Yes it usually occur after aspiration. Take antibiotic and if needs go for fluid culture and sensitivity test.

Mr. lybrate-user you need to get operate for hydrocele. Consult general surgeon near by you. In my view large hydrocele culprit here for you penis size making comparatively small.

Adenomyosis needs surgery if all other medications fail to perform and you are in excessive pain. Removal of ovaries might not be a possible treatment to cure adenomyosis. In such a case, removal of the uterus is the only option left with your doctor.

If the medicine isn't doing any good, get an hrusg of bilateral inguinoscrotal region to see if there is epididymoorchitis. The treatment is then analgesics and antibiotics. If there isn't anything like that, then you should get operated.

I have mild right sided hydrocele from few years I do not have any proper filaria symptoms but I have noticed whenever I get fever my right side testis swell more after few days it again come back to mild can I try hetrazan 100 mg. Dosage please and precautions?

It can be because of reactionary fluid accumulation in scrotum after an episode of epididymo-orchitis. Please do scrotal ultrasound and complete blood count whenever you have episode of fever to make correct diagnosis.
