Hi, My wife is 24 years old and her ultrasound result shows that RT Ovary: measures 3.91x1.57x1. 55 cms. Vol.=4.98 cc. Small in size with normal in echotexture, LT Ovary: Not Visualized. CUL-DE-SAC: Free fluid - not present. Impression: Features suggestive of RIGHT OVARIAN ATROPHY. Please answer me what is this result meaning, I will be very thankful to you.

I have problem in my vulva region since 8 months. I have visited almost 5 gynecologists in this time period. It has scaly texture and whenever I pee the area around it burns. I am not having uti nor am I having sugar. My menstrual cycle is fine though flow has reduced. Sometimes I think I have skin issues but then I'm not sure about whom should I visit? Gynecologist or dermatologist? I'm really stressed because its becoming unbearable now. My sex life is ruined too. Whenever I have sex it becomes worse. At first I thought that I'm allergic to latex condoms so I opted for non latex ones (skyn kamasutra ). But it won't stop it's pretty bad. Help mee.

Hello-
Change of vaginal secretions into an acidic PH can results in scaly and dry skin around vulva. Only external treatment will not be beneficial for you, you need to improve your diet schedule and sleep timings to prevent the secretion from getting acidic. Try these steps-
Wash your Vaginal area with Trifla powder Decoction (Kadha) twice daily.
Apply Mahatiktaka Ghrita in the affected part afterwards.
You will get these medicines on any ayurvedic store near you. Good luck.

Virgin is a person who never had intercourse.
Hymen may get injured not only by sex but by many other reasons.
Most do not need surgery but may meet gynecologist.

I'm 50 years old. Ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis says bulky uterus with 3 fibroids. 6.86.6, 3.8 2.7 and 2.8* 2.2 cms. I have started with sevista 60 mg about 3 weeks back twice a week along with multivitamin, multimineral, iron supplements and calcium, vit d supplements, thyroid med 25 just morning once. Bleeding did reduce little but still there post my periods very little along with frequent urination. Hence night sleep is also disturbed. I do get low pelvic pain and back pain radiating to the thighs. I can understand as fibroids are large it will take time but kindly advice me how to handle this pain and associated little bleeding. If any doctor responds to this how can I contact them back?

From the limited information presented here, I understand that some nodule was biopsied and it shows adenocarcinoma which means it's cancer deposit spread from somewhere. Next step in your work up would be pet ct along with tumor markers (cea, ca 19-9, ca 125etc.). Based on these reports further investigations or treatment will be planned.

My friend took mifepristone 25 mg for fibroid for 15 days (starting from 26th sept )and had intercourse (protected) during it. She had lap myomectomy done later on 20th oct when can she can expect periods and what are risks of pregnancy if she had intercourse while taking mifepristone.

I doubt there is any chance of pregnancy. Though Mifepristone is not a contraceptive, since there has been instrumentation of the uterus it is likely to negate any chance of conception. Even then she can get a usg done after 6 weeks of her last periods. That should effectively clear any doubt.

Hi ,after d@c spotting can be there on and off, but if more bleeding continues ,then need to check scan to see any retained products, but if the doctor sure about complete evacuation nothing to worry ,can take femilon.

With physiotherapy, particularly exercises, you can strengthen the back muscles. That will help in reducing the load to l5-s1 region, which will have some effect in reducing the lower back pain. But the disease will remain as it is a mechanical problem which will not be reduced with medicines or exercises.
