I understand that you have been fairly alright with having varicose veins for the last 30 years. But body has a tolerance. If your scan is showing damage which requires it to be treated, it is better to undergo the procedure in order to avoid complications. Skin damage in Varicose veins is not completely reversible. Any procedure associated with Varicose veins has a 10-15% risk of recurrence. I am not sure as to who does laser varicose vein procedure at Kolkata.

If it is paining and swelling then it's definitely time for you to get treatment. Surgery costs approx 20-25000, but cost may vary between different centres. Laser treatment for varicose veins is the latest, but it's costly (approx 1 lakh)

Varicose veins result in non healing ulcers, you need to get your varicose vein operated, then only that ulcer will heal. There r many surgical options for the same. Meanwhile do regular dressings.
