Poses like Yogic sleep and corpse pose plays an active role in maintaining blood pressure, release stress and preparing the body for the delivery process.
Pregnant women should also practise humming bee breathe and alternate nostril breathing, an aid to better physical and mental health.
Who is not eligible for the treatment?
There is no such eligibility to practise Yoga. However, regulations are only for women undergoing pregnancy period.

Women who are not expecting or experiencing pregnancy do not require restrictions to various poses. However, it is always advised to get a trainer who would guide you according to your health structure and also keep a track of steps in the process that may cause you harm.

Yoga does not have any side effects. It is known to be the best medium in order to lead a healthy life. Though Yoga is necessary for pregnant women, there remains few regulations and restrictions that the person needs to adhere to. This is because few poses may cause harm to the baby inside. Asanas that include abdominal stretch, backbends are very risky at this time. Avoid headstands and handstands, one leg balancing if you are pregnant.
