We all are aware of pregnancy and gestation period but about sciatica we are not.
In our body the nerve, which runs from the lumber or lower spine to the end of each thigh through areas of the buttock, is called the sciatic nerve.

Sciatica refers to the pain one experiences due to the irritation or compression of nerve roots contributing to formation of Sciatic nerve. The sciatic nerve is the longest and widest nerve in the body, running from the lower back, down to the back of each leg.
