Symptoms Of Cancer In Women

Bloating a feeling of fullness of belly is considered as the main sign of ovarian cancer. This symptom can make stomach look and feel like puffy, swollen or often quite hard and it is occurring from time to time lasting for three weeks or more. Such condition arises when a there is a buildup of fluid in the space surrounding the organs in the abdomen forming ascites and such ascites causing a lot of discomfort if it is caused by cancer. For detection of such ascites, X-rays, CT scans or Ultrasounds are performed by doctor along with recent symptoms.
Between Period Bleeding
There is a chance of occurrence of abnormal bleeding between regular menstrual periods or in routine. This irregularity bleeding is a basic reason behind endometrial cancer experienced by almost 90% of women. Women encountering situations like more than two periods in a single cycle time period with heavy bleeding or spotting like things then it is advised to be evaluated by a doctor. Gynecological cancer like cervical cancer, uterine cancer, or ovarian cancer are producing symptoms like heavy periods, bleeding in between periods, bleeding during or after sex or douching, bleeding after menopause.
Slow Changes in Skin
Skin is showing signs of occurrence of many internal diseases and it starts changing after the disease begins causing damage internally. Many people with cancer may experience skin changes and problems like dry skin, itchiness, color changes etc. Some of common signs like formation of new rash, dermatomyositis, new growths on the skin, skin discolorations, and changes in its texture, scars, wounds or pressure sores are associated with Cancer in people.
Blood in the Stool or Urine
Hematuria or hemorrhoids are signs of cancer of kidney or bladder. Generally, these signs are seen in urinary tract infection, kidney stones or due to rectal bleeding. Recurrent occurrence of blood in urine or stool, patient should have a doctor examination of lower abdomen region and to detect such type of cancer. Under such circumstances of blood in urine or stool, Colonoscopy is recommended by doctors to detect reason behind these symptoms after age of 50 years.
Changes in the Lymph Node
Lymph nodes are vessels in body that are carrying clear watery fluid throughout the body just like blood vessels, veins. Changes in the lymph nodes can be observed in regions like groin, underarms and neck and it may occur due to infection, injury or cancer. Lymph nodes are inflamed or swollen once affected by the cancer cells and become large in size. This occurs due to spread of cancer cells after break down of tumors reaches to lymph node through lymph system. Such swollen lymph nodes are enough big as it can be felt with the fingers and doctors are removing lymph node or that particular part containing cancerous cells or tumors for prevention.
Trouble in Swallowing
A condition called dysphagia or difficulty swallowing is where a person found troubles in passing food or liquid down the throat. This symptom is one of the causes of Cancer, especially of mouth, esophagus or throat. People had also complained about pain or a burning sensation when they swallow anything along with sensation that food is stuck to throat or chest. In such conditions, people are suggested to eat soft, smooth foods that are mashed or blended along with some liquid diet.
Sudden Weight Without Any Reason
There are chances of unexpected weight loss in many people at some point without any known reason and a loss of 10 pounds or more is most likely considered as first sign of cancer of stomach, esophagus, lung, or pancreases. Loss of weight happens due to attack of cancerous cells to the healthy cells and body reaction against it. Other medical conditions like hyperthyroidism is also accomplished by weight loss but when there is a sudden loss of mentioned weight or more, as per American Cancer Society, then it is most leading to cancer.
Burning Sensation in Heart
Burning sensation or heartburn is a sign of irritation of esophagus due to stomach acid backing up into the food pipe and it occurs generally in central part of chest region behind the breastbone. This symptom is accompanied by regurgitation of food, a sour taste at the back of throat, or feeling of stuck food in throat. Such heartburn symptoms can progress further and increases the risk of gastroesophageal reflux disease that can cause Barrett’s esophagus, a precursor of esophageal cancer. For treatment of such symptoms, lifestyle changes like elimination of fatty food, chocolate, caffeine and spicy food etc. are suggested.
Mouth Changes
Feeling of sore mouth or throat, dry mouth or changes in taste sense can be considered as signs of mouth cancer. Certain precancerous conditions like leukoplakia (abnormal white or grey area in oral cavity), Erythroplakia (abnormal red area or spots in oral cavity) are changing cells of mouth and make them more susceptible to cancer. The reasons behind such precancerous conditions are excessive alcohol use, heavy smoking etc. Some people are also complaining about infections and mouth sores, pain or swelling in mouth, sensitivity of cold or hot foods, swelling problems and tooth decays.
Fever
A person may experience increased temperature of body at 100.5°F or more, only if cancer is affecting the immune system. This symptom is very rare and only associated with leukemia or lymphoma, types of blood cancer. People are facing symptom of fever when the cancer has spread in the body and reached at advanced stage. All cancer types are not showing such symptom and if infection is also present along with cancer then it will be difficult for body to fight against both conditions.
Fatigue Cough
Unexpected tiredness or fatigue is one of the main causes behind cancer like condition because of growth of cancerous cells. A person may not feel rested after enough sleep as it can happen only when cancer like underlying problems are there. Fatigue is associated with blood cancer (leukemia) as well as to blood loss due to cancer. The conditions like dysphagia, dyspnea, hoarseness and wheezing are aero-digestive symptoms and associated with cancer in people. There are many symptoms of cancer are interrelated with symptoms of respiratory tract infections and persistent cough is a symptom of thyroid cancer.
