My son is passing stools 7-8 times a day especially after eating anything. He is 1.3 years old. I have been giving him walamycin suspension 2.5 ml twice a day. I have started the course. Should I stop it .I want to know for how many days it should be continued. Or you suggest some other medicine.

This condition is not a disease. The reason for passing stool after eating is due to exaggerated Gastro-colic reflex. This is a self limiting. No need for antibiotics. At most you can give syrup Zn20, 5 ml daily for 14 days. Also increase home food and reduce milk intake.

If child is growing (gaining adequate weight) and is active, then it is normal gastrocolic reflex. Nothing to worry.
