I am having a small pin hole in my teeth. I want to know the reason behind this and is this a serious matter?

There are 2 type of cavities. One is due to normal caries progression at early stages and the other one is a little more complicated that is called black hole caries. If you can send me a x ray I will be able to guide you better. Normal cavity you can get filled. If it is a black hole cavity the opening is very small the damage to the tooth is great. Small pinhole is actually a cavity in your teeth, which needs to get filled up by the dentist. If you delay, it might lead to pain n infection in your gums.

Hi you have cavity started in your teeth. Dont delay get it filled as early as possible because if pulp will exposed then only rct will be the option to save it. Keep your mouth clean.

That might be a decay, decay may be because of more intake of carbohydrates (sugars), more frequency of eating, less water intake, or not brushing properly etc. You have to go to a dentist and get it filled asap to avoid further progress.

This hole can be due to bacterial infection of teeth called caries or cavities. Treatment is filling. Now a days composite fillings are good ones. If you're experiencing pain on chewing or on taking hot cold beverages then root canal treatment is advices after establishing proper diagnosis with x ray
