I was taking anti depressant for 7 days. But still I have headaches. Should I consult a doctor once due to the increase of serotonin levels?

Hi, Thanks for writing in, welcome to the forum. Was the medicine started as per directions of a psychiatrist? Headache is a common side effect of many anti-depressants if started at a higher dose. Also, headache could be due to other causes also. If headache was there before start of medicines, obviously other causes are involved. Very often headache is a symptom of anxiety/ depression. So I think an evaluation by a psychiatrist is warranted. Hope that answers your question. Take care!
