Hi, I'm 20 year old boy, my mom age 49. She always says that everyone around her is trying to kill her she even doubted me. She is not coming to the doctor for consultation. I and my father tried many things to take her to the doctor but she is not coming. Over 15 yrs she is like this only. What I have to do now for her.

Hi. I'm sorry to hear about your mother. From what you describe, she seems to be suffering from mental illness, the nature of which can only be clearly ascertained after detailed evaluation. Many people suffering from mental illness are resistant to visiting doctors, and families are often not able to force them to consult a doctor, leading to a delay in commencement of care, and consequent long term damage. I would suggest you to take the assistance of the local police for escorting her to a psychiatrist. Another option is to contact your local hospital's psychiatry department. Many hospitals (especially government run mental health institutions, such as ihbas, in delhi) have mobile mental health units for this very purpose. Take care.
