Hi I am 27 year old woman with below thyroid reports T3: 88.04 ng/dll T4: 6.6 ng/ dll TSH: 9.96 ulU/ml Do I need to worry for pregnancy related problems due to high TSH?

Thanks for the query. If you want to have a baby, then it is essential to reduce TSH level <2 mU/L. Otherwise, there will be no conception. Secondly throughout the pregnancy TSH levels have to be maintained around 2 mU/L. This is essential for proper development of fetus and for desired outcome of the pregnancy. Another important aspect is that with a BMI of 29.31 kgs/M2 you are very close to be in the grade 1 obesity category. So it is essential for you to try and reduce weight by at least 5 to 6 kgs (in fact your ideal body weight should be 52 kgs). Thanks.
