I am suffering from from type 2 diabetes since 2005 .Though my condition was under control since six months my condition has shown regression .Earlier doctor had prescribed glycomet gp2 twice daily along with Ava's ez .My blood sugar was under control from 2005 I.e.it was 85 fasting sugar and 130 pp always .Suddenly my shot to fs175 andpp 250 .in one month .Our .Dr. Immediately prescribed insulin inj 30 units in morning and 20 units in evening .Itis three months that I have been taking insulin and sugar is 100fs and 150 pp with insulin. Please advice regarding continuation of treatment or change in course and program.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Looking at the blood glucose levels mentioned, it appears that presently your diabetes is in good control. Please tell me whether you are only on Insulin or along with that there are oral drugs also? Ideally blood glucose should be: FBG < 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c%<6.8. That helps one to remain free from long term complications of diabetes. Thanks.
