Dear Lybrate I am a diabetic n under insulin control. I just want to know dat I take insulin 25 ml twice a day what will happen if take d dosage to 200 ml at one shot. What will b end result please answer.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Insulin dose decided on the basis of blood glucose level both fasting and after food. Plus there are different types of insulins, it is not which one you are using. There are rapid acting and long acting insulins plus combination of both. It is given in units per dose, not as ml. Taking excess insulin is not advised. It causes hypoglycemia. Thanks.
