My mother is a diabetic patient n her diabetes increase n decrease automatically. She was taking insulins bt even after tht within few mints it will be increased n in few mints it get decreased y so? What shld b done to bring sugar level to stability. From past one year she was mostly admitted in hospital. please suggest what to do? N whom to consult.

Hello, thanks for the query. Since the information is very general, without giving any details of actual blood glucose levels and current treatment, it is difficult to give any advise or opinion. It appears she has very unstable glucose levels, hence has to be closely monitored with daily multiple blood checks and altering the dosge of insulin. She may need long acting and rapid acting insulin plus some oral drugs too. You should consult a good diabetologist who can manage her condition better. Thanks.
