I am 25 years unmarried I have thyroid problem (6.7) now I am taking 50 mg tablets in future I will get pregnant are not.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Hypothyroidism if well in control with adequate dosage of thyroxine, then there will be no problem in getting pregnant. However, when one is on treatment it is necessary to maintain TSH between 3 to4 mU/L for bring free from all the symptoms of hypothyroidism. Therefore with TSH 67 mU/L, you will have to increase the dosage of thyroxine by 12.5 mcg per day and then check TSH level after 6 weeks to see if desired level is reached or not. For proper ovulation and getting prgnent it is necessary to maintain TSH < 2 mU/L. That is when you are considering getting conceived. Thanks.
