I got my braces removed in last December the dentist given me retainers but after two or three months the I stopped wearing retainers and teeth are moving back to it's original place then I started to wear my retainers again but from last 2 months the retainers are not fitting perfectly and coming off What should I do? I don't want to wear retainers or is it compulsory?

U may discontinue wearing them results r already in front of u retainers should b worn for nine to twelve months u may have to get new retainers now as the old discontinued may not fit

You need to wear retainers for 9 months post braces 3 to 6 months 24 hours that is to be removed only while eating food .rest you need to wear it on regular basis. N last three months only at night .teeth might have shifted from its original place that's why. You might need to wear retainers again and post that you might need to come for check up.
