My dad of age 55 with weight 62 had sugar while fasting is 200 mg. After lunch its 400 mg. What is the condition of diabetes in him? What is the diet he should follow.

It's type 2 DM. Kindly check HbA1c, Lipid profile, Sr creatinine and urine analysis. He needs proper treatment. Stick to diabetic Diet ie low carbohydrates, avoid sugar and sugar containing products. Feel free to call me Regards.
