My son is 12 years old and he has been suffering from severe problems of nasal blockages since past 5 years and more. His nasal block starts usually when he stays indoor and especially in every evening, irrespective of seasons. He always breathes through his mouth and also associated with symptoms of asthmatic attacks recurring since when he was 3 years of age and was prescribed to continue to take budecort and Duolin inhaler. His allergies were examined but of no improvement. Doctors had suspected his nasal defects and some tests like CT scan of nasal cavities were done but nothing abnormalities could be detected. We have no pets. We stay in an airy apartment with sufficient openness although usual city pollution is there. We usually change the liveries in every week and use pillows of synthetic Creon. We desist my son to take milk products viz milk, cheese, butter, ghee etc. Chocolates are strictly prohibited to him. He is very thin and underweight and having very low appetite. Began to pant on any arduous job like climbing stairs, running for a short distance. I am in much distress and please help.

Eating a variety of flavors from food may help increase your appetite. Avoid eating bland foods; that can do little for increasing your appetite. Adding fresh or dried herbs to dishes can help enhance flavor and also add nutritional value to a meal. Try either cooking or ordering from a restaurant a different cuisine you are not used to. For example, try adding in Indian, Asian, Middle Eastern or other ethnic flavors into your meals. Trying new flavor combinations can increase your desire to eat and may help broaden your interest in food. The smell of herbs and seasonings should also help boost your appetite. You can also make food more interesting by increasing the variety of texture of foods at meals. If your oral health allows it, avoid eating just one texture of food at meal times. Get a little bit of soft, crunchy, chewy, etc. foods at meals to help keep you interested.
