Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Figs contain fiber and some vitamins as well as a few mineral like in most fruits. Plus a 100 g of figs also give 16 g of sugar. Whether figs will help in controlling BP effectively is not clear. Since most fruits have vitamins, minerals, fibers and antioxidants, they are good. Even in a diabetic person also fruits are good, may not increase blood glucose much. But whether they control BP or reduce blood glucose is difficult to answer. Best is to use specific drugs, diet control and exercise. Plus take fruits. Thanks.
