Thanks for the query lybrate user, The condition described is known as Trigger Finger, seen more often in diabetes. This is more so if the blood glucose is not well controlled. Trigger finger is a condition where one or more fingers curl up and are difficult to straighten. The tendons that bend and straighten fingers ?catch? and then may suddenly ?click? open again. Trigger finger can be painful and is usually worse in the morning. Repetitive gripping motions can bring it on or make it worse. To over come this there is a need to maintain stict blood glucose control with fasting < 100 mg, PP 160 to 170 mg & HbA1c% <7. Plus if need be physiotherapy and pain killers may be useful. Thanks.

Dear Sir, This condition is called as trigger finger. Do stretching exercises. Control diabetes. If no relief go for a small spot injection. Best wishes.
