I am 60 and having type 2 diabetes since 2001 Since last three years I am using insulin and other medicines to control diabetes. My height is 5?11? and weight is 62 kg. Pl suggest me how to increase weight without effecting level of sugar.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. I have gone through the details given. I learn that you have T2 DM, and you are on Insulin plus oral drugs. But there is absolutely no mention about blood glucose levels, & HbA1c%, to know whether diabetes is in control. Usually if blood glucose is in control, then proper diet and exercise do help in improving weight. Plus occasionally there may be a need for taking some protein supplements. Unless all the necessary details are given, there is no way to give any suggestions or any advise. Thanks.
