My father, age 65 age and high diabetes and fluctuating BP, had a mild stroke a week ago, after angiography it was found that main large vessel is 90% block, small vessel is 80% block and dominant vessel is 40% block. One doctor has suggested for bypass surgery and another has suggested medicine taking his diabetes and age into consideration.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. For removing the extensive block in the coronary arteries either by pass surgery or stenting are the two main remedies. I am not aware of any medicine. May be that particular doctor might be referring to chelation treatment. If that is the case, then it is an untested metod. Thanks.
