I am taking Isotroin-20. As part of acne treatment. Can you please tell me. The side effects of the same. Is it safe to take this capsule. I a bit tensed as I saw that it causes serious birth defects. But I am not conceiving right now. But will it cause any effects in future.

Hi thank you for posting your query I can understand your concern isotertinoin is a wonderful drug used for grade 4 acne there are certain side effects as well but not bothersome it leads to birth defects therefore it is advised to stop medications atlas 3 months prior to to conceiving if you stop the medicine and conceive after a specific time there will be no problem with your child it leads to excessive dryness so apply lot of moisturisers or petroleum jelly and few others hope this helps in case of further query you can discuss on my page regards.
