Lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. The blood glucose levels mentioned are suggestive of pre-diabetes. A person in this state can prevent becoming diabetic or postpone it by adapting a modified lifestyle. This means to have a healthy balanced diet, avoid sweets, deep fried foods, junk foods, pastries, bakery items, foods made from maida and colas. Also refrain from alcohol and smoking. Plus exercise regularly for at least 1 hour or more. Maintain near normal weight. Increase the intake of green leafy vegetables, salads and fruits. Preferably use whole grain flour for chapati and roti. Thanks.
