My mother is 56 years old suffering from ILD NSIP since 11 years. The present ct scan has suggested diffuse ground glass pacification of bilateral lungs with extensive areas of interstitial thickening and cystic changes in bilateral lungs. With a view lungs seems to be 80 % as fibrosis. She is with oxygen 24*7. The doctor has suggested medrol 8 mg, mucinac 600, assurance, vrzcal, pirfenex 200 and foracort 2 puffs. Kindly suggest if any changes are required.

If lungs are 80% fibrosed and shows cystic spaces in most of lung parts, then nothing will help much except long term oxygen.Medral may help considering ground glass opacity. Pirfenex, foracort and mucinac is of no use.
