Hi, Since couple of week my breast has been started itching. And a month back I was diagnosed to be a diabetic and thyroid My sugar levels were 137 and I had done serum insulin test and it eas 72. Is it serious Please suggest how to control sugar?

Diet restrictions by avoiding sugar, jaggery,honey, sweets,sweet fruits like banana, grapes,mangoes cheekoo etc. Exercise regularly Maintain ideal weight according to height. If still not control start medicines under the supervision of a Physician. Monitor blood sugar regularly.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. I have gone through the details mentioned. I have a few questions. What is the fasting & PP glucose level, plus HbA1c%? Because if diabetes is not in proper control, there is a possibility of fungal infection of the skin, including that of breast. This can give rise to itching. Plus breast itching can be due to many other reasons like dry skin, (in winter months), allergy to inner clothes worn or rubbing of clothes on to the skin while jogging or running. Or it may be due to eczema of skin. Your inners should always be washed and clean. If there is fungal infection antifungal ointment may help. Thanks.
