I am 22 year old female. During my first pregnancy I got thyroid tsh level was 5.6 doctor gave me uthyrox 50 mcg. After deliver I did test and my tsh level was 2.99 and t4 was 15.5.my doctor said after pregnancy thyroid will not be there. What do I fo now. I have to take medicines for lifelong?

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Post delivery your TSh showing that it has returned to normal. That means there is no hypothyroidism now. Hence, no treatment is needed. However, if you are again pregnant later, then it may reappear, then treatment will be needed to control TSH. Thanks.
