My dad is 60 years old was regular alcohol drinker got sudden heart attack and after surgery now he is fine and decided to quit alcohol, is sudden alcohol withdrawal causes any stroke or another attack.

Dear user, I can understand. You must understand the difference between ALCOHOL ADDICTION and abuse. You can definitely quit alcohol in one go. Just stop it and swear not to drink again. Engage yourself in games and other engaging activities during evenings or when you feel the urge. Just a week, your habit should change.
