My mother is diabetic and she is taking metformin n glipizide .Her TG is also high for which Dr. has given her ecosprin 75 mg and Atorvastatin 10 mg .she is taking this from 1 n half year. Now her uric acid is 6.2 .for which Dr. has prescribed her Allopurinol. Sir I want to ask that in this case her ecosprin should be stopped bcause ecosprin is a drug which causes hyperuricemia. Please answer.

No Ecosprin may not be stopped. But She will require medicines for TG. Atorvastatin will not be the drug for TG.
