What is her fasting sugar and HbA1c level. This among other things, will determine need for drugs. Healthy diet low in sugar, starch and refined grains and high in fibre, veggies and some fruit is desirable. Sweet potato may also be good for her. Regards.

Thanks for the query. Sweet potato like potato is having mainly carbohydrate. It also gives a lot of sugar. Therefore, eating it regularly is not at all advisable for a diabetic person. It does have some advantages over potato, but occasional consumption is fine that too in small quantity. Thanks.
