Hello, Thanks for your query on Lybrate "As" per your clinical history is concerned you can take 50MCG thyronorm to keep your level under control. Try to avoid Iron supplements, Cholestyramine, Aluminum hydroxide, which is found in some antacids, Calcium supplements etc which delays absorb of Thyronorm. Some diet suggestions for hypothyroidism include: 1)Take foods high in Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids such as leafy green vegetables, salmon, nuts, seeds, and shrimp etc 2)Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day. Water and green tea can be sipped on in between meals to prevent dehydration. 3)Take Iodine rich foods such as seaweed and algae and it should be eaten regularly. 4)Foods such as broccoli, cauliflower, soy, beans, and spinach can actually slow down the functioning of the thyroid so they should be eaten in small quantities. 5)Try to avoid artificial sweeteners, caffeine, dairy, and alcohol when on a diet for hypothyroidism. 6)Do take a multivitamin at bedtime [Rejuvit Plus] and do regular exercise for at least 30 mins. Hope that helps

lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query. When one is on adequate dose of Levothyroxine, TSH is maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L, at that level all the symptoms are in check. Therefore, with TSH 7.59 mU/L, you need to increase the dose by 12.5 mcg per day, then check TSH after 6 weeks, to see if desired level is reached. Thanks.
