I have been taking homeopathy medication for hypothyroid since oct 2017. 4 months back I had got my thyroid test done in the evening time. The result was showing tsh 4.564 which was normal. I continued with the medicine, diet and exercise regularly. The same test I got it done now but in the morning with fasting it is showing tsh 8.09 which is very high. Can I know the reason? Is it because of fasting blood test?

lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query For hypothyroidism only valid treatment is to take adequate dosage of Levothyroxine. Other so called pathies do not have any role at all. So if the TSH has gone high, plus there are symptoms of hypothyroidism present then only option is to take adequate dosage of Levothyroxine. The reason for increase in TSH is there is no medicine being taken for reduction. As I have mentioned it is only Levothyroxine which is required. Thanks.
