The very fact that they are very smart in their studies and in other activities, would straightaway rule out ADHD - which by its very nature interferes with children's abilities to learn and to take part in organised activities. On the other hand your children are probably highly intelligent and don't find routine class/ work sufficiently challenging for them to be fully occupied by it. The signs of AHD are: - Inattention - inability to concentrate on any errand given to them Hyperactivity - inability to sit still (even while watching TV) Impulsivity - inability to wait their turn and do things without considering the consequences Finally, the symptoms of ADHD start earlier and most children are diagnosed by the age of 7 years.
