I have diabetes for over a decade. Currently I take the following medicines: Trajenta 5mgglycigon 80 (thrice daily) Glucobay 50 thrice daily) glucophase (once daily) My Hba1c levels is around 7.4 currently. I also suffer from proteinuria, and Bp. I am 74 years old. Any change min medication as Hba1c and creatinine levels have risen in last 6 months. creatinine is 1.54.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Your glucose control seems to be fairly good. Ideally HbA1c% should be <7%, but 7.4 is also not bad. There appears to be no need to change any medication. However, looking at your weight and height, it is clear that you are over weight, because at your age ideal body weight should be < 63 kgs. So if possible a bit of additional physical activity and better diet control should be practiced. Thanks.
