I have ingrown toenails in both the legs. I have contacted to the nearest doctor he told that toe nail should be removed. I.e.toe nail excision. He said that after surgery the toe nail never grow up. Is there any alternative way or any home remedies to cure. The doctor suggested is true or false. Please advise me.

Ideally conservative management is tried first if that does not work then 1/4 of the side part of the nail is removed with the root. The nail remains.
