I did my blood test for thyroid profile 2 months back and found the TSH value 7.71 while the T3 and T4 were in normal range. After two months I did the test again and now the TSH level was 6.87 while the t3 t4 ft3 and ft4 were in normal range. Please suggest if I need to be treated for this high TSH value.

Yes, dose of thyroid hormone supplement is guided by level of TSH. When t3 & t4 production and secretion is reduced by thyroid gland, pituitary gland sends signal in form of TSH to increase production of t3 & t4. When t3 & t4 production increases it acts as negative feedback to pituitary which reduces TSH signal to thyroid gland. TSH is more stable as compared to t3 & t4 hence it is taken or a guide of hyper or hypothyroid.
