Please help. My father had been facing pain in and around his eye for years. The used to remain red and a little big with blurred vision. One day, without telling anyone he underwent a procedure where they drained something out of the eye. The eye became very small with no vision. I was very small at that time. Now that I have become aware, I want to research if anything can be done to restore vision in that eye of his. Please help. Even if you just explain his problem, what it is called and what procedure he underwent? I'll be able to communicate and research better. I can't tell him this so that I don't raise any false hope, so I can't take him to a doctor. Please help. Thank you.

Your father has glaucoma or related macular degeneration and or retinal detachment Unless the details are given it is not possible to give the name of the surgery he had. He needs an eye check up and do the needful.
